Farhat Jilalbhoy, Project Manager, joined TDC in 2019. She specializes in leading nonprofits and foundations in strategic planning to guide their investments and long-term operations, project design with a focus on innovation and scale, and implementing and managing projects domestically and internationally. Farhat brings over a decade of experience working with grassroots organizations, foundations and international development organizations to her work at TDC.
Prior to joining TDC, Farhat served as a consultant and Project Manager on a range of projects for Catholic Relief Services in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Nepal, the Philippines and for their Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office. As Program Director at Peace First, she led the organization’s strategy, program implementation, and partnership building. While at the Rockefeller Foundation, she co-developed a business plan to scale the Foundation’s signature energy program and advised senior leadership on investing in health initiatives. She has also provided technical support to education and employment programs for at-risk youth with YouthBuild International. Farhat served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica and is fluent in Spanish. Farhat holds a BA in international affairs from the University of Mary Washington and a master’s degree in sustainable international development from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
